There are two service tier levels: Advanced and Premium. Each tier provides a group of selected hardware and software services to support the Power E1080, and clients can select the tier that better fits their needs.
Software Maintenance (SWMA) and Proactive Support are pre-requisites for each level.
Power Expert Care has coverage options of 3-5 years and is available September 17, 2021.
- Advanced Expert Care includes HWMA.
- Premium Expert Care includes HWMA, Global Total Microcode Support (GTMS), Media Retention (MR), and IBM Enterprise Accelerated Value Program (eAVP).

GoodBye Alert...Hello Proactive Support
Effective November 30th, 2021, Alert for iSeries and pSeries will be expired in ISAT/CHIS and will not be able to be proposed after November 30th, 2021. There is not a transition plan nor replacement offerings. If a client requires a service enhancement that includes insight and advice on installed AIX or IBMi operating system, you should propose Proactive for AIX or IBMi.
Existing contracts with these Alert offerings will continue unchanged until a future date in 2022. This date has not yet been determined and is dependent on the migration date of the impacted contracts from CHIS to Conga. Additional information will be shared at that time.
