IBM Security® X-Force® is tracking a recent disclosure regarding a high severity vulnerability that may impacts your clients.
Apache Log4j is a tool for logging activities in Java® software. Developers and programmers use the library to note the activities of their applications and servers. While Apache has issued a patch to remediate the vulnerability, unpatched software could be exploited by loading arbitrary Java code on the server. This could enable an attacker to take complete control of the system.
X-Force is closely monitoring the situation and we have created resources which provide an overview of the vulnerability and how organizations can protect themselves.

Every startup has a story - often a technologist and a marketing genius in a garage, trying to make a mark on the world. The Apple Computer story is on a whole other level. In the early ’70s, Steve “The Woz” Wozniak and Apple co-founder Steve Jobs were spending time hanging out in a garage in Silicon Valley, about to embark on a journey that continues to change the way the world consumes technology. Adam Clater, Chief Architect at Red Hat and The Woz will discuss the early days of technology and homebrew computing - how sharing designs and learning within those communities as well as his work with HP and Atari lead to the formation of what has become the most valuable company in the world - Apple Computer.
